Dwarf Gorami

We just got a dwarf gorami and he is not happy. all he does is run up and
down and back and forth accross the fron of my tank. he has rubbed his chin
bloody. what should I do? I have thought about getting him a friend but
what if they are both unhappy. Oh ya my tank is a 20 gal, 0 / 0 / <.5 A /
N / N. 3 killifish, 2 cory's, 1 goby, and one betta. none of the other
fish bother him. he eats at chow time.
I feel bad for the little dude. he was happy enought at the LFS
if anyone can helo I would be greatful

I have tons of gouramis: blues, pearls, giants, and a dwarf in my 55 gallon.
My dwarf gourami likes to hang out and hide in an artificial tree stump with
my clown loaches when he isn't swimming around. They seem to like having
hiding places when stressed. They are pretty shy especially when first
purchased but become less shy when they acclimate to their new tank after a
week or two.
