i have a 29 gallon tank with 2 large Goldfish, It's a new tank and the
second time i cleaned it the water started turning green. I don't know
what it is the filter is working fine and the fish dont have
anyproblems.I don't have any algae eaters or snails do I need them or
is this another problem. Please help it looks go ugly. thanks
you dont have adequate filtration. a whisper rated for a 50-60 gallon tank would be
the right size. and make sure you have sufficient hardness, aeration and bring the
temp up to 75oF.
dont get algae eaters or snails.
if you mean "there is algae on the glass", then get used to it, you will need to
clean that off around 1 time per week, when doing water changes. get an aquarium
sponge and put a capful of peroxide on it and scrub the glass. leave some algae on
the sides and back if you arent viewing thru the sides. Ingrid
