I've found most fw snails are damn near indestructable. I've never lost any
snails when treating for ich. I just raise the temp to 80, and dose the ich
meds:) Don't forget to remove the carbon from your filter while medicating.

Alternately move the snail out for a few weeks and do not treat him. I
don't think the parasite would infest a snail, and without a host, the
Ich would vanish from the snail's tank. ymmv

But wouldn't the snails at least carry ICH. I don't want to spread it
arround.
is there a wash or something I can use that will clean off the snail? I am
not sure they would appriciate a salt bath.

No, the Ich parasite has a very fixed 4 stage life cycle. One of these
stages is the free-swimming stage where they have about 48 hours to find
a host. If no host, they die. You should only need to wait until all
the Ich parasites in their various life stages reach the free-swimming
stage and die off. AFAIK, snails can carry Ich (like plants, shrimps
etc) but not support them. ymmv
