Why does such suffering abound? And why does the Creator not stop it?
Well, our Father in heaven and Christ his son are no different than your
parents.
Unless humans learn by experience they are more than likely to repeat
the same mistake.
Taking your examples. The ambition of the corporate world to make
caring for the
sick as profitable forces hospitals around the world to reuse
instruments that are
supposed to be used once and disposed of. Society loves and supports
corporations that
make and use chemicals that are cancer causing. Why should God lend a
hand when we have
enough sense on our own but say nothing in the interest of profit and
greed?

God and Christ don't insist you have any more children than you can
afford to
feed and support but man has taken God's word in the inerest of building
a kingdom or
empire and said have has many children as you can so that in the end the
world becomes
over populated. Why should God or Christ waste their energy when man is
so stupid?
