What to do, what to do ?
Tank is a juwel Rio 400l, with it's own bio-filter (I'm not using the carbon
sponge), a Rena XP3 cannister filter which is normally running one of their
biochem-zorb sachets, and a Vorton15 UV.
It has a good number of plants, gravel, etc, 4 CL's, 5 angels about 15
platies, 2 neon tetras and a zebra danio that thinks he's a tetra, and 9
corys.
I usually change the 'zorb every two months, but it's getting a bit
expensive as there are delivery charges etc.
What do we think ?

Bio Chem Zorb http://www.aquariumsuperstore.co.uk/mall/renabiochemzorb.asp
is activated carbon and resins. I don't think it is bad stuff, but do you
have a specific reason for using it? If not, discontinue use and compare
results. It would be nice to have some TDS measurements to make
comparisons, but perhaps optics (water clarity) are enough (unless you were
addressing a specific source water problem).

Nah, it was just a bad habit probably.
A sachet comes with the filter, so I used it.
It did seem to make the water clearer, not that it was murky to start with
:-)
Still undecided.
