I think in the last week all my fish have went crazy
my blue gourami who has two black spots normally now lost them, where? I
don't know but they are sure not on him, inplace are white faded spots, now
I been busy the last couple days but think I would notice my fish losing his
spots. He is the same fish the kissing gourami was bothering but he has been
gone a couple days now out of the tank.
any suggestions.

Might be an age or genetic thing - I have seen blue three-spot gouramis
out grow their spots - quite common.

>inplace are white faded spots........

Something to keep an eye on for a few days - fish darken with illness,
lighten with stress. If it's stress, you don't want it to go on for a
long time. Stressed fish include the secretion of stress hormones -
secreted in large amounts, or over a long period of time, can/will also
stress the other fish within the tank. These stress hormones are called
Pheromones (hormones that affect the behavior of other
fish)............ Frank

Whenever you have one fish harassing another it is always better to remove
one of them. I think boredom and overcrowding cause some fish to constantly
pick on others, or on a target victim. In nature you would never have so
many fish together as we keep in the small space inside our tanks. In
nature the fish getting picked on, should there be one, would simply swim
away......

the kissing gourami had been out of the tank a couple days when he went
spotless, but he has them back now and seems to be doing fine, he ate a lot
after the kissing fish was gone so i am thinking he may not been getting a
lot of food either. But all is well in that tank, he is back to protecting
the baby blue's (from what who knows) but he really seems to like them
little guys i guess because they look like him, unlike the mean kissing fish

Glad to hear he's doing fine again. I figured it was due to stress when
I first read your post, but wasn't going to reply because you had
already fixed the trouble by moving the kissing gourami... Keep an eye
on your three spot, for him to regain his slime coat, it may take up to
a week. Untill then, he's wide open to parasites......... Frank

thanks for all your help frank, you might like this my mom moved... her new
landlord was talking to my children about his fish tank, he has a gourami
tank but is somewhat new to keeping fish I think, they must have told him
about our **gourami** situation, he wants Mr. kissing gourami, so the kids
run up and tell me...ugh I ask what's in his tank they say a gold dwarf
gourami ....a couple blue gourami's, I ask how big is his tank, and of
course I am asking teens they spread their arms and say about this big.... I
am half temped to push this fish off on him, but this little monster will
stress out his gouramis just as he did mine, but this guy insisted he will
be ok in his tank....humm

You can always offer to take him back if he starts to harass his fish.

Not a big "if".... i know this little sh*t will be mean, my luck i'll end up
having to replace the guys fish because i feel bad, i am pretty sure they
said he has a gold dwarf gourami also which would be small i guess so thats
not good, on the other hand if it works out ...the guy is a cop, i'll have a
friend.. Mr.kissing fish is in a bucket at the moment so i might run him up
and give it a shot....i ended up needing the extra 10g.... i busted one of
the betta tanks, ugh
