I have a Infusoria culture, i also have first bites, Atison's Betta Starter,
and i am going to start some other cultures (microworms & BS). What i wanted
to do was feed one set Atisons betta starter alone to see if its as good as
they say but o-well it did not work out that way, i yanked a plant from one
of my tanks and since it was there for some time i noticed with the
magnifine glass that there was infusoria in the water which they were trying
to get, so even if i only fed them the atisons they would still be getting
infusoria so it would not matter.

Sounds good. And needless to say the more plants the more infusoria. My
newly hatched koi are getting mashed egg yolk mixed with Tetra's egg-layer
formula. I also pour infusoria into the 150g pools they're in as "green
water." The green water is made from garden soil, fertilizer and plant
debris in separate tubs. There are also a lot of live pond plants in their
pools.
I'm sure if you can have this thick dark green water available it would also
help. Sunny windowsills work well. That's what I used in NYC in the
winter. Baby bettas thrived on it and the cost is nil.
