I've just finished the water change on the 6 foot tank and added some
rather nice "plants on a mat"....I sat down to watch the fish for a few
minutes before moving on to do the 4 footer tank and suddenly I spotted
a YoYo loach....

He could only have come in on the plants, but if he did, he is certainly
one very lucky fish....I bought the plants this morning...there was
little or no water in the bag....I left the bag lying around for an hour
or so then filled it with tap water to keep the plants OK til I was
ready to do the change in the big tank....

He seems happy enough...he is hanging out under the driftwood where the
Clown Loaches live - time will tell I guess....

Lucky YOU and lucky fish! :-) You got a freebie and he got a wonderful
home. I'm going on down to Pet Supermarket this afternoon. I have to go to
Lowe's for 10 bags of Pine Nuggets so will be passing right by the pet
store. Maybe she got in some calico Lionheads.

Yes, but there are more than just a few Koi-Los in these forums
anymore.

Oh that's wild! I've seen very young YoYos at
a LFS and they were busily burying themselves
under the sand. I expect that's how they got
transferred. Congrats on the free fish! I really
like them - they don't get too large, can
function fine as community fish (with otos,
cory cats, small tetras, etc.), and do a very nice
job as snail ranchers. :)
