Hi Heather
What Ed states is true, there are some real disgruntled jerks in these
forums, especially one named Koi-lo. I think I have that name spelled
right.
Anyway hooking up an air pump is easy. You need hose and an air srtone
or ornament that uses air. Just place air hose over airpump outlet
end, and run to air stone or other air powered ornament etc. Cut air
line to length. Yu msy have to opush and wiggle the air line on as
some air line is still (usually clea rplastic type) but there is also
rubber, and silicone andother materials which are softer and work
easy. YOu may have to weight down the air line or stone if it want ot
float , but you can bury the air line etc under yur gravel. An air
valve is a handy thing to have to adjust airflow, even if you have an
adjustable pump. INstall it inbetween pump and tank, and also install
a check valve so you do not get a back flow or syphon effect and drain
water back out of tank. If possible place tank at or above water
level.
Have fun, but find a web based forum where folks credibility can be
checked as Ed stated.
