GH and total hardness

Can someone answer this please. What is the difference between General hardness
and total hardness and how does it relate to KH?

And I answered it just now in the UK newsgroup before seeing it
in this one too. Teachskip (and everyone) if you are going to
post identical questions to more than one group, please cross
post, so the response goes to all of them too, and we each only
read the same text once!

Hope the reply in uk.rec.aquaria.misc is useful; I'm off to search
for NaCl's post to see if I was right! :)
