Algae bloom-more info

I just realized that I forgot to mention that I have 2 penguin 330
filters in this tank.
And it was zucchini that I gave them, not cucumber.
I'm leaving the light off again today. I normally leave the lights on
for about 14 hours every day, so I will have to cut that back.

I have no other light source than my tank lights which are under 2
watts per gallon. I have them (5 tanks) on a timer and run 13 hours a
day. I turn them off for 3 hours midday. I once read that algae
thrives most on continuous lighting so I programmed the "lights out".
