I had a kh test kit in my AP Freshwater Master Test Kit that I bought some
time ago. Recently I bought a new one and realized that there was no kh
tester in it. Does anyone know why they might have stopped including kh in
the kit? Can't find individual kh locally. Hate to order online for just a
few bucks. I just use it to check C02. Thanks.

There are the multi-kits (ie: 6 or 8 tests), the individual tests (each
in their box with directions and test tube), AND the lesser known refill
bottles (which is what a pet shop buys to restock their supplies). A
sympathetic LFS should be able to order refills for you. I do it for my
customers.

shows the Hagen refill for kH. If your LFS does special orders (which I
think they all do) the refill # is A-7831 (Hagen is a pretty popular
manufacturer, so your chances are good they can get it). It takes about
a week for delivery to the store, and you don't have to pay any shipping
(which probably evens out with the LFS mark-up). hth

Hey NetMax. Your link works great but I was wondering how you managed to
find that on the Hagen site? I was looking for refills of others like pH,
Nitrate, etc., but couldn't locate it aside from the actual kits.

Nitrate:
http://www.hagen.com/canada/english/search.cfm?searchstring=nitrate&CAT=1&x=14&y=13
and pH:
http://www.hagen.com/canada/english/search.cfm?searchstring=ph&CAT=&x=17&y=18
scroll down to the pH range you need.
I just used the product search function at the top of the page :o) I bet
you thought I had a dealer code or something ;~)
