I'm almost done. I have to install a counter and proof all my links :o(.
Don't get your expectations too high though. It's my first web site, and
only 25 pages long (only?), and it's kind of clunky. Compared to Flash's
gorge.org, mine will be a hand painting from kindergarten ;~) I also
haven't tested it with anything but Explorer, so it might blow up with
something else.

If I can offer you any services, such as testing and such, I'm always
here... btw, I'm good at being critical and saavy with web design... I've
done several as a hobby, a couple as a charged item, and many beta tests to
fix and repair page problems..

My first lesson was this: Never use FrontPage entirely.... It binds you into
web extensions and frames that are not supported by Netscape, and/but,
that's only a problem with E-Commerce sites... no shopping cart, no
problem... just lemme know, I've got favors to repay!!! hahaha!!!

take care..

Oh, good, I could use some company in the "rank amateur" web designer
category :) We could have a contest to see who's best effort is the
worst!

Secondly, as a professional webmaster/Unix admin.. avoid frontpage all
together.

I've gotta third that. Frontpage is an abomination. Worse than all the
hybrid cichlids and gengineered danios in the world.

(But that's just my ever so humble opinion).

not supported *and* IMHO not needed!

flash, scripts, dyn-gifs and all the eye-catching stuff is *mandatory*
when you have nothing to say and/or show in your site!

with the amount of *real* content (both graphic and text) that NetMax
has in his hands I bet he could do the #1 aquaria site in the internet
using plain HTML 3.2!

Thanks for all the offers of assistance. I've asked Flash to have a
quick look-see, to determine if the patient has a heartbeat with
Netscape. If it's any concellation, I didn't use Front-page. It's hard
coded with a sothink DHTML menu. Very basic stuff.

My web site would make yours look good, but I'm getting some professional
help (not for my head, my site!). By now, I shouldn't be so surprised
when someone on the newsgroup turns out to be a real professional. I've
met geologists, phDs, doctors and all sorts of other interesting folks
with my dumb questions. Apparently Flash has a web design business on
the side, and I've now received a 7 page report outlining all sorts of
problems, errors, compatibility concerns, graphic changes etc etc. If I
could implement all the changes, the site would smoke, but alas my
competance will be the constraining factor. This will delay my 'opening
day', but your senses will not be so assaulted ;~), *whew* 7 pages.... it
will be TV dinner by the keyboard again ;~).

Thanks to everyone for their offers. I might still take some of you up
on them, if I think I'm wearing Flash down ;~)

It is about 30 minutes to Ironwood, Michagan and an hour and a
half to Duluth, Minnesota from Ashland. Now I live south of Wausau in
Sheboygan.
