Those who used to post here recommended Flourish Excel and micronutrients as
well as frequent water changes and gravel vacuuming. It helped in my tanks
but then the effect wore off. The plant growth slowed and another algae
took the place of the black sooty type.

Actinic or 50/50 bulbs do not woprk worth a **** in a fresh water tank
no matter whats in it if its a plant. FIsh could care less.......So
Carl, are you saying to use bulbs manufactuered solely for marine reef
use to be used on freshwater planted tanks as well, which is contrary
towhat allmanufactueres say and whats been studied on this, as well as
the kelvins and temps being totally od the wrong wavelength to begin
with to support fresh water plants.
Or did you get lost on usenet and think this is in regards to
salt****er setups?

People normally use sunlight to illuminate a pond anyhow do they not,
so what has that got todo with any kind of bulb, yet alone CArol
Gulley aka koi los assinne opinions on the use of her home brew crap
and foods.

Please explain as inquiring and curious minds want to know.......and
btw that last post reply by Koi Lo <reply to NG Only> well she is our
residient asshole and no one pays her any ****ing attention anyhow,
and it would probbaly be in yur best interests to ignore that wacked
out lunatic as well........or she will be spamming yur website and
contriviing up derogatory stuff about yur shop like she is known to
do....hence the mess in the aquaria groups as if yu have not already
noticed it, and trying incessantly to stir up problems for yoou when
yu post, or calling the sheriff and saya8in g yu have been caling her
house and harrassing her and her live in boyfriend she often refers to
as her husband.......

Oh and CYANO in a sal****er tank is nothing like the type that is
encountered in a FW setup........
