Bolivian Ram

[Petebert]

anyone got a good picture of these on the web, maybe a male/female too,
petsmart has a tank with 3 tags, one says bolivian ram and I think theres 1
type of fish in there, was thinking I'd like to pick up a couple but want to
make sure of what they've got in there, Im sure no one there could tell me.

it's all in the curvature of the front of the dorsal fin. an angular, square
curve indicates a male, and a round curve a female. let me tell you though,
it's bloody hard to tell the difference, I can hardly see it myself, but
apparantly this is the done way.

I'll see what I can do, I think I've read like 3 different ways to do it,
some list different shades of red bellies, different spots on the side.
