Ever since my platy delivered her numbers of fry, She's seeks shelter
near the bottom under foliage leaves. Her dorsal fin stays down alot
and her appetite doesn't match her mate's.
From a closer inspection, her profile is now more of a bowed shape,
from the top she appears to have a crooked spine.
I'm sure this isn't right. What measures should I be taking at this
point. Quarantine...Expend....False alarm...
The fry came over 3 weeks ago.
Thanks.

I could be wrong but it sounds like she was an old fish who just had her
last group of fry.

I have a White Cloud that floats at the top, has a crooked back and
tumors. She has had her problems for about a year. She has learned
to cope well enough to get food flakes. Sad to watch, but what an
inspiration.
I doubt your fish has a contagious problem. Most spine cases my fish
have had lived for awhile, but didn't seem to solve the feeding
problem whether due to blindness or orientation or something else I
don't know, but my White Cloud has survived. No way will I ever
destroy her.

Sounds like the worst of all the fish diseases.
fish tb
do some research and don't be putting hands with cuts in the water
I'd cull
a bit of spirulina would help fix up any nutritional deficencys as well.
always helps them bounce back from the rigors of pumping out kids
