One for all the chemists out there :)
This is the make up of the mineral water I use for my tank (as stated on the
label which I understand has to be resonably accurate under UK consumer law,
and it's from a 'reputable' retailer):
All per litre
Calcium 25mg
Magnesium 4mg
Potassium 2mg
Sodium 17mg
Bicarbonate 41mg
Chloride 23mg
Sulphate 16mg
Nitrate 25mg
PH at source 6.5
My tank water is currently PH6.8, KH4, GH9, 27c, Amonnia 0, Nitrite 0,
Nitrate between 10 - 25mg/ltr.
CO2 works out between 13 & 23mg/ltr. Fish are all fine and healthy, plants
go mad and have to be pruned at least once a week. The only prolem I have is
with this unidentified algae that I posted about a while ago, but I can keep
that in check by physical removal. I guess my question is - is there
anything in there that I should be concerned about (long term?) ?
Thanks
