Hi all,

I just wondered if I am the only person to encounter a problem when
connecting my Aqua-Medic Helix Max UV sterilser?

When I connect the hose to the hosetails provided in the boxand turn on
the pump, water drips from between the hose and the hosetail. I have
tried 3 different hoses and am using a jubilee clip to make sure the
has is fastened tightly but still the water drips. The hosetails they
provide is made of some kind of clear rigid plastic and has no 'teeth'
on it with which to grip the hose. It is also worth mentioning that I
never had to heat the hose to get it on as it was a fairly easy fit.
I'm guessing that this may be the problem, but I think a better
hosetail would fix this, not me having to source an odd sized hose.

I have emailed Aqua-Medic about this twice, but they seem unable or
unwilling to even acknowledge that I have contected them. The only
phone number I can find for them is in Germany (I live in the UK and
dont fancy calling the states to discuss this problem - I'd probably
get told to ring Germany anyway!)

So Ive spent £160 on a new unit that leaks and no one seems willing to
help me.

If anyone had the same issue and found a way to fix it, can you let me
know?

Thanks
