Need Help: Aqua-Tech 20-40 not pumping very strong

This is the third pump I have had in this tank. I purchased this Aqua-Tech
Deluxe 20-40 last month and initially I was very happy with it. But now its
barely filtering water. It seems the pump isnt working very well. I have
cleaned the Bio, Mechanical and Chemical filters thoroughly. Is there
something I am missing. I have also rinsed out the filter where the little
hole is that the tube goes into and nothing comes out. Is there something
else I should be doing?

You might consider removing the impeller from below the intake tube and
cleaning the cylinder it goes in with very small bottle brush and also
clean the impeller itself.
You can test the electro-magnet by placeing a screw driver in this
cylinder while the impeller is out and the unit is plugged in, there
should be a relatively 360 degree pull on the screw driver.
I would also suggest a sponge Pre-filter (such as the Filter Max) on
your intake for improved bio filtration and to prevent build up in your
filter intake.
