I have a beautiful piece of pulsing xenia that grows vigorously. Every
month of so I cut it back to try and control it. Sometime little pieces
of it fly loose and set hold on my live rock in places where I do not
want it to grow.

I was wondering if any one had suggestions as to how to control the
spread and growth of this coral.

Do you think I could mix up a solution of kalkwasser and water and
directly spray it on the small pieces that are trying to take hold to
kill it.

Any other suggestions of how I can control this vigorous piece of
coral? THANKS

I have a similar problem and recently came across a DIY algae-cleaner
that I thought might work. It's a tooth-brush with a hole drilled
through the bristle plate to take a small syphon hose. You scrub the
algae and the syphon sucks the particles into a bucket. I'm going to
try running a small syphon tube next to the scraper next time I clean
the xenia off.
