View Full Version : Sold my Severums

After breeding a bunch of Severums to near adult size my 55 gallon tank
was overcrowded with about 15 fish plus the 2 parents. I was at wits end and
couldn't find a place to give then away. I was a step away from either
eating or flushing some! After trying a few LPS's I found one that said they
would take 6. I eagerly put them in a big pail and delivered 7. The store
manager examined them carefully in their new tank and was quick to point out
every nick and danaged fin they inflicted on themselves in transport. I
expected maybe a little flake food in return. I was then bowled over when he
said "here's your store credit for $70". WOW what a deal! I went back in a
couple weeks then a couple of months because they weren't exactly quick
sellers. This weekend he finally took 6 more. So I now have a store credit
for $130 bucks! Just thought I'd share this nice story with you folks. I'm
still loking for a home for the breeding pair of a white female and green
male. He won't take those due to space issues.

I have a local pet store that I have been selling my 1 inch to 1 and 1/2
inch yellow labs, Marmalades and some red zebra babies for about 6 months
now. I have received almost three hundred bucks so far in store credit. They
give me 50% of their selling price. It took me a while to find a LPS that
wanted them on a regular basis, but its really great when you do find one.

Rick.
