very small tank question

I have a 1 gallon tank on my desk at work, it is lighted, but not heated. I
had a betta in it but it died (almost 4 years old).

Besides one betta or goldfish, are their any other very small fish that I
could have one (preferabloyu two of them) in the one gallon UNHEATED tank?
Can tetras live okay without a heater... or are goldfish or a betta my only
option?

PLEASE do not put a goldfish in a 1g tank. If healthy even a very small one
will quickly outgrow it. GF can reach almost 12" in length. Even small
rosy reds will outgrow it but will probably die if there is no
aeration/filtration. Is this small tank filtered in any way? If so then
perhaps a few small tetras if the room is warm enough (75 - 80F).

Goldfish are a really bad idea for that size tank. Two or three male
guppies should do okay, or Endler's if you can find them. White
clouds are good for cool tanks. How cool does the room get when no
one is there?

The tank is filtered with an undergravel, very well aerated. Let me add
that this tank is on my desk in an office. During the daytime hours it is
lighted (hooded light). When I leave the office the tank, at night, is in
the dark and they turn the heat down, it may get as cold as 62. The tank
has daylight over the weekends. I could certainly do 2-3 male guppies. I
can try to find the White Clouds as well. Last fish was a betta but I hate
the idea of a fish by itself (maybe that's just a female thing LOL).

That's pretty cold for a betta, for most tropical fish as well, but
the ones I suggested should do okay there.

Hmm.., in my mind absolutely no tank for fish at all but for a few
small and colourful shrimps..

P.S.: WCMM are creek fish and love to swimm around..
