Friend in another group is having an issue with his blood parrot. Any ideas
from anyone?? Link to the topic and pics is at the bottom.

"Ok the other week I noticed that yella(my big yellow BP)had some sand stuck
in one of her nostrils.All the BP's have had this happen since I added the
black sand but they usually expell it.Well some must have been stuck as it
swelled a little and some white fungus/puss was sticking out.
Over the past few days it has got rapidly worse and now her nostril has
become a pit/hole with infection inside.I also notice some infection under
her mouth(its a bit swelled too).
I'll get a pic asap but I need some advice.I have a 10gal tank I can set up
and I'll pick up some melafix tomorrow.Anything else that might help???Maybe
salt or epsome salts."
