this what I bought in lights, now what can I have healty wise under
these.
14,000K HQI Metal Halide 300watts (2 x's 150w)............both Blue and
White Lunar Lights 6 each
I have 92 gal corner bowfront
bulbs for this light is DE so i can upgrade the watts?
it also has a proprietary electronic driving system (produce the
highest lumen per watt)
what ever that really means i don't know
It is a Current usa sunpod 36" here is the link so you can see the
configs

You have 3 watts per gallon. You can keep soft corals.
Some of the easier stony large polyp corals can also be
kept, but be forewarned that this lower light level will
leave such stony corals more at risk, though they may look
nice, and grow, they won't have as much vigor to fight off
infections and such.

Also since you have two 150 watt small point source
lights, you can put corals up close to those lights, and
gain quite a bit more light, whereas florescent light is
more spread out. MH light rules :-)

But it so much easier to have good lighting and not have
to worry about placement of the corals to get more light
to the coral.

But if you put corals TOO close to the light, and they WILL bleach...

Yeah, I've heard this. I think there was a recent article in the
"Tropical Fish" rag. They recommended introducing new lightly in
increments rather then just a swap out.
I was planning to radically cut back on the hours of light and then ramp
back up to where I am when I get my new lights.
Don't know if that's necessary, but I figure it won't hurt anything.

That's rarely a problem. They may not bloom out as much,
but rarely do they really suffer from the increased lighting.
Many a times I've taken corals from low light areas and
put them right under 400watt mh lighting.
It *can* produce a problem, but rarely does.
If you want to play it safe, you can place the corals
lower, and move them up, or reduce lighting , but I'm not
too keen on the idea of the reduce lighting method,
preferring the coral moving method.

Mine haven't moved in 4 weeks, and I've only had the tank for 8.
However, I'll need to tear down the tank this week to get the fish out
for treatment of Ich and add additional live rock.

Go fishing. Heard it done by quite a few folks on various forums. Get
smallhook and heat and reform to make it as small as is neded, so me
2# test mono and some shrimp. Easy to snatch baited hook out so
worong fish does not get it. If its a veggie eater stick some nori on
the hook. Make sure to pinch in the barb on the hook though.
Add a cold Beer and your set for a bit of amusement. I sure as heck
would hate to have to tear live rock apart to catch a fish.
Are yu handy with making things? Some lexan from big box store and
some weldon glue will do fine for a fish trap or even a soda bottle
with the end cut off and inverted and attached with string or super
glue to form a funnel trap works fine, and is fast and eay to make. Yu
can heat neck somewhat or cut it to make it large enough for target
fish to enter if need be,.

You can adjust flow on powerheads by trimmning the impeller blades
with a couple of swipes on a file or sandpaper.

I used a trap last time, but I don't know my chances of catching all 11
fish.
I thought I'd use the opportunity to add 30# of live rock as well. I
have some nice purple algae that I'd hate to bury, so it makes sense to
just do it all at once.
I think a trap would be less stressful anyway, so I'll try my luck at
that first. I'll be surprised if I get them all.

Get some of those sleeve filter sponges like used on the mag drive
pumps or that they sell for the maxijet powerheads. IIRC Big Als
online sells the maxi jet foam filter sleeves for like 2 for under
$3.

Just kill the lights for a day or 2. If you like add a bit of something
