Hi Guys n Gals,

Anyone want to recommend some good plants to put in my 2 ½" tank with no
fish! (at the moment, cycling the tank) but am planning to get a mix of
cichlids...

TIA

Bill

Depending on what kind of cichlids you're talking about. For African
cichlids, plastic or silk plants are good; for s. amercian dwarf cichlids,
you have unlimited choices of plants! BTW, are you doing a fishless cycle?

Cheers
Kenneth

Yeah at the moment I have nothing in the tank, except the gravel, filters &
heater.. Oh and water! Just settling down the pH as it is a little too
alkaline...

I was planning to get some plants today and a few rocks and wood to get it
nicely setup with a few hidey holes etc.. That way I'm not disturbing the
little guys by doing it after they have made their overlandinthebag dash!

So, as I'm not rushing to introduce the fish any "uh uh uh's, this would be
a better ways" would be greatly appreciated...

Thanks,
BillT

We REALLY need to know what type of cichlids you are getting because it is
hard too keep plants with africans as the water doesn't promote growth & the
fish love to nibble.
