View Full Version : ID of small-ish Korean Stream Fish?

Long long ago, I saw a 'fluffy' finned fish in a shallow stream at a Korean
tourist village. I don't know if the fish was 'installed' in the stream, but
to some degree, the stream was artificial. I think there were metallic
colors on the fins, else the fish wouldn't have visually struck me. It was
about 4 or 5" long.

Anyone have guesses or clues to its species?

Fluffy is kind of vague, could you be more descriptive on the shape? Like,
was it as wide or a narrow body? Did it have a dorsal fin? Was the tail
fin split, like a goldfish? Did it have whisker's like a catfish?

There are 212 native species to Korea. In addition, the fish you saw could
easily have been imported.
