| I had a brief flashback of "The Incredible Mr. Limpet" earlier, and
I
| started wondering what the best fish based movie of all time would
be.
| So far I've come up with Finding Nemo, Jaws, Splash, Big fish, a
few
| stupid others, and of course The Incredible Mr. Limpet.
|
| What other non-documentary type movies would fit this bill?

"Finding Nemo" is the big standout for me, simply because it's so
accurate compared to other "fishy" films. Most other films have
clownfish living in rivers, and trout swimming along with blue
whales....and the fish were authentic species, instead of generic
creatures with fins.

For example, see Little Mermaid for mixed fish, as well as an old comedy
Operation Petticoat, where, during the introduction, Oscars are next to
sal****er Angels and Moray Eels.

What kills the whole Finding Nemo thing for me, was as soon as the Moorish Idol
(forgot his name), said "all drains lead to the ocean" and showed Nemo the
toliet.
I looked at my 8 yr old daughter and said NO THEY DO NOT!!! They meet the first
shredder, and then a second.
There were so many news reports and news paper articles out here )IL) about
kids flushing their (or their parents) fish down the toliet...so they could
"set them free".
Disgusting that Disney allowed this.
I wish they would have just come up with a better story line.
Just a couple weeks ago there was a kid in her class that said she was going to
set her fishy free.....sending it down the toliet. My kid freaked and explained
what really happens. Thank goodness! Another fish saved from Finding nemo.

Hmm.....
Do you mean literally fish or "fish" stories, which include mammals such as
Orca or Moby Dick?
