Hi.

I think I'm finally recovering from the problems I've had recently with my
75 gallon -- I found some praziquantel (sp?) and followed the package
instructions and it seems to have improved the fish that were showing
symptoms of gill flukes.

I've decided two things from all the reading I've done -- (1) I could
probably use more filtration, and I think I will eventually wind up adding
a canister filter to my aquarium, and (2) that I may have prevented the
whole problem I experienced with a UV sterilizer.

I'm very seriously considering adding a UV lamp, and found the "Coralife
turbo twist" 9W sterilizer at Big Al's online for US$78. Anyone have one
of these? Is there a competing model that I should consider instead? Any
other advice before I jump in headfirst and buy one of these?

I'll be asking for canister filter advice down the road, after my credit
card recovers from the shock. :)

There are many other models & manufactures of UV sterilizers. They all have
pros & cons. Just make sure you get one with enough wattage for the tank you
are using it on. Turbo twist is a very good model. I have one myself & you
can't go worng with it but there are many other good units out there aswell.
Either way they will all prob. help. Just don't put them on any tanks you
may have fry in.
