hi all
can anyone tell me why my dwarf goroumi
constantly swims back and forth along the front glass of the tank?
i have noticed other fish do it as well.
is it a sign of stress or something bothering them?

Check all your water parameters. It could be that the fish is trying to
escape an uncomfortable environment. Are there enough hiding places or
shaded areas from the lighting? These could be issues as well.

How new to the tank? Fish moved to a new environment do examine the
new tank carefully. Perhaps the gorami is very thorough before
accepting the new tank. I have a runt Clown Loach that I have moved
between tanks to keep snails down. Even when it returns to a tank it
"knows" the search of the glass goes on. I know he knows the tank as
I had covered a cave he made on his prior stay and during the search
routine he repeatedly went to the cave site.

he has been in there for 5 days now....i think the other fish
just follow him as they have stopped doing it now....the female
goromi just ignores him, but he just keeps on and on and on.........!

Don't use ammo-lock - you can get false readings - allow the biological
filtration
to deal with it or do water changes to dilute any high trace of ammonia

25% every other day until you get the ammonia under control, then 25%
weekly....
