What's that little blue button on the top of the submersible jager heaters
for? I don't see an explanation anywhere, although it probably said in the
packaging that's long gone;)

Just remember, if you press the blue button there's no turning back...

Good question ... you had me wondering too, so I did a Google search and
found this ... someone asked how to adjust the heater's temperature scale,
and the answer was:

This is straight from the instructions:
"Unplug. Use a flat object inserted into the groove (under the blue button)
and pull up the small blue button until it stops. This disengage the
temperature setting dial without affecting the thermostat.

Turn the dial to the temperature corresponding with the thermometerand note
the temperature reading.

Push the small button back down. The heater is now recalibrated."
