Got my four pack DIY kit from AH Supply, yesterday. Took my three NO
flourescent tubes off the tank and installed the whole DIY kit in one
evening. Well, okay, so it was after midnight when I finally went to
bed. I plugged those puppies in (after checking, rechecking, and
triple checking the wiring) and
KA-BLAM!
the living room was awash in a blinding light. Those MIRO reflectors
are dynamite! (Reminder to self: NEVER turn on a light kit when it is
face up).
These are on my 90 gal aquarium. Two 6700K in the front, two 5500K in
the back. I put like-kelvin lights on the same ballasts. I didn't
know if that was the way to do it, but I figured I had more than
enough wiring to do it that way. If anyone knows if that was correct
for any reason at all, let me know.
Anyway, thanks to everyone in this group for their help. I mostly
lurked, reading over everything that was already posted. It's a great
help.
Now I have to put on sunglasses to feed the fish, but it's okay.
