Hi,
I've been been feeding my tank of Tetra's and Gourami's with flake
food, and I have just added a betta to the tank, and he isn't
interested! He sucks bits in, but then spits them out again! (My wife
swears he eats the white coloured ones though...)
I put some blood worm in, and he was fine with that, as were the other
fish.
My question is, do I put in blood worm for the betta at the same time I
feed flake to the rest? Is this too much food? Should I just feed
blood worm? If not, how do i feed them 'seperately'?
Cheers.

I had the same problem. My female bettas eventually started eating
the flake food too once they realized it was edible, but my males
didn't. You have to feed them all at the same time to keep the other
fish occupied with the flakes whilst you concentrate on feeding your
betta. Given the choice between flakes and the worms, all your fish
will go for the worms, so try to distract them as long as possible
with the flakes.

Simply feed flake once a day, and Bloodworms for the second feeding.
All the fish you have will benifit from the Bloodworms anyway.
Make sure it's the frozen and not freeze dried.
Too much freeze dried foods can constipate a Betta quickly.
