Hi,
i've been contemplating the idea lateley as i had to throw some food
(about 8 months old) as it was getting fugnus.
I like to buy several kinds/types of foods for the fish, rather then
just one.
in general a food container is consumed in about a year (more or less),
and i have never before had the problems of fungus.
Since the Weather here is abit dump most of the time, and very hot in
the summer I thought to myself - why not just freeze the food, and
store small portions (a months worth) in temprary containers in hope to
keep the food as fresh as possible.
is that common practice ? is it recommanded ? and should it be freezing
or just cooling (refregirator).
thanks,

Refrigerating or freezing fish food is a common practice, and I have never
heard of it causing problems. I keep the large continers in the freezer, and
about 2-4 weeks worth in the refrigerator. It's a good way to prevent mold /
spoilage.

seal well and freeze away, no problem. I buy various types of food in pound
lots and only take out what I can use in a couple of weeks. Keeps things
nice and fresh but do put the open bags into freezer storage bags and seal
well, removing as much of the air as possible.
