Shmerale heat limit

Hi,

i've bought another shmerale (This is the only name i know for it, a
white, narrow, spotted/stripped cleaning fish) a week ago, it died.

this is the second shmerale that dies in my aquarium in a week time,
while my tetra's, guppies and neon thrive (tetra's and neons grew 2.5
times the size i bought them in in a few weeks). aquarium is more then
a year old.

I suspect that its the heat that kills them, its 30 deg Celcius in the
aquarium all the time. can this be it ?

I didnt have the water tested as its really expensive buying all the
test kits here. The local store aint too happy doing all the tests for
free, they may do one though if i ask for a specific one.

Might have, its a nickname for this fish, all local stores here use it,
but i could only find 1 reference for the name in google.

i also searched fish images for it but couldnt find anything...
