I never see my algae eater move. He lives in a rock and he's very
alive... and he must be eating but I never see him on the side of the
tank or doing anything even close to eating algae. Honestly I can't
tell if the algae is getting eaten or not, I never see him out of the
rock. I chase him out when I do a water change and I've seen him poop
so he's eating something. Do some algae eaters not eat algae? Or is
he just sneaking out of his rock in the middle of the night when I'm
not looking?

Just who is yur algae eater...Eating out? SOund like a perverted algae
eater like our loclal resident fish transexual TYNK. She does that
too, so it must be somethng thats inthe water for sure. Those lesbian
and tranny fish are like that just ask TYNK.
Set up a surveilance camera on ts sorry ass and see exactly where and
what it does.

I have 15 SAEs in 2 tanks. They seem to be nibbling at something, but
I still have algae. Also I have 3 Plecos that nibble on the glass,
but spots of green algae remain.
Oh, well, I still enjoy the critters! <g>
