I wasn't aware that exhibitionism had become such a problem.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Psychiatric Disorders~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
There are different theories related to exhibitionistic behaviors,
many stemming from the psychoanalytic camp. They suggest that
childhood trauma (e.g., sexual abuse) or significant childhood
experiences can manifest itself in exhibitionistic behavior.
This disorder is characterized by either intense sexually arousing
fantasies, urges, or behaviors in which the individual exposes his or
her genitals in public.
Treatment typically involves psychotherapy aimed at uncovering and
working through the underlying cause of the behavior. Medications can
at times be helpful to assist the client in resisting urges, but are
typically not utilized in treatment.
Prognosis is good although often there are other issues which may
surface once the behaviors are extinguished. If this is the case,
these issues must be worked through as well.
You did not give us the definition of someone who must hide himself
from view. Psychoanalists suggest that childhood trauma (e.g., sexual
abuse) or significant childhood experiences can manifest itself in
concealing behavior, shyness and other disorders.
Just say it Davy boy. You like to expose yourself in public.
exactly..when you become a nudist is when you expose your crotch in
public to mixed gender......that is the only requirement...and the
minute you become a nudist you also become a pervert and exhibitionist
and a liar ...if you deny any part of this definition.....jonZeee
The only thing I am exposing is _your_ hypocracy and bigotry. You hide
yourself. Did you suffer some sort of child abuse or is it all due to
your religious indoctrination. Of course that could be classed as
child abuse as well.
Now you are making up definitions. You become a nudist the instant you
realise that you like not wearing clothes. There is no other
requirement. *You* may be a pervert and an exhibitionist but do not
apply those labels to any other without just cause. You can be a
nudist in the privacy of your own home and never let another see you
or you can go to a Nudist club and mingle with other like minded
people. Not everyone needs to display themselves lewdly in order to
satisfy their sexual appetite but that doesn't mean that they don't
enjoy being nude.
