Hi all
Was thinking about buying about 6 to 8 small Oscars and hoping to find a
pair.
Does anybody know how long this would take before a pair is formed?
Thanks
Peter

I tested the link and it did not take me to the actual page. Go to
Http://www.aquabid.com
Click on south American cichlids. They are listed as long finned red
breeding Oscars. the ad says they are 5 inches long.

If the Oscars are in the 2 inch range, and given proper food and
maintenance, you should be looking at a pair in a year.
But since so many Oscars are sold when the are small and cute, you might
want to check out the LFS for trade in pairs. I often see full size
breeding pairs selling for $5-10. at aquarium club auctions.
