: Can anyone offer a good site to view photos of Mbunas for identification.
: My LFS has a good supply of Cichlids, but most seem to be mislabeled. I did
: get a P. Crabro and the M. Johanni (males of both species). I also got what
: appeared to be a female of each, but now I'm not so sure. What I thought
: was the female P. Crabro is a pale yellow with light black zebra stripes on
: its side. It doesn't really seem like a P. Crabro, but hard to tell without
: a good photo source. What I thought was a female M. Johanni is completely
: gold. This fish has no markings except for 3 egg drops on the lower fin.
:
: Anyone able to provide a good website recommendation?
:
: Thank you,

I have a few Mbuna on my site. www.amateurcichlids.com
Cichlid forum has an extensive gallery. www.cichlid-forum.com
But for identifying Mbuna or any Malawi fish, Malawi Cichlids in their natural habitat by Ad Konings along with the CD
that can be purchased with it is the best.
