September? Already? Where did summer go? At least we can all
celebrate the end of summer together at our meeting this Saturday
night, September 1st. Our speaker will be Bob Boone from Aquatic
Specialties and Pets. He'll be speaking on "A Wholesaler's Perspective
on Tropical Fish Keeping, Water Quality, and Stress Management".
Bob has been keeping fish for 40 plus years, since the age of 12. He
has over 30 years of wholesale and retail experience and has designed
and built eight different wholesale facilities. He also designed, set
up, and ran a geothermal fish farm. At one point he was raising fish
as a commercial breeder of common aquarium fish like angelfish,
tetras, danios, mollies, and platies. Bob and Aquatic Specialties and
Pets have been loyal supporters of the Silicon Valley Aquarium Society
since the very beginning. He is also well known and respected all over
the country.
