I have a 20" long tank, decorated with as many rocks I gathered on a
trip to St. Lucia, a broken flower pot, and one artificial cave. I
have one Pseudotropheus crabro (bumble),who is half the age of his 2
tank mates - electric blues. However, the bumble bee, who used to be
picked on, is now outgrown both electric blues, and now chases them
around. A little fin nibbling but not that bad. the bumble is
about 3", and the electrics are about 2", all between a year and 2
years old.
I should be planning on upgrading the tank size soon though I'm not
close to an overcrowding situation quite yet. Just a lot of crap b/c
I use a sponge/air filter.
Any ideas on tank size? There's no point in getting at 29 large or
55 gallon tank, these fish don't really swim at mid level or surface
unless feeding. Does anyone know any websites that sell tanks that
would be larger in volume than a 29" long, but larger in width and
length versus height? do they exist?
thanks
