Hi,

Do anyone have experienced of Agua Vie water purifier? Would you
please provide details information?
I know there is a web site for Agua Vie. I am interested in the
testimony of product, such as price, service and the product quality
etc. Some people post on internet complaining that the price is not
39.99 but
above 470.00. Is it true?

Thanks in advance.

We're an aquarium group so I don't think anyone can answer your question
here.

A guy in my local LFS told me that he drank RO water for three months
believing that as it was pure and had no minerals it would be good for him.
Unfortunatley his teeth started to break up and he experienced gum problems.

I could not agree more!!

All fish need minerals in their water, even Amazon Basin fish. In fact
there is a lot of evidence of the importance of calcium for good
osmoregulation in fish which will result in much less incidence of
disease and other problems.
These too articles deal with this:

Buy a Filterdirect.com unmit made by Honeywell Systems called the
Water General for about $125 delivered. Its an RODI unit. or you can
just use the RO portion, but odds are you'llalso find a use for the DI
waster as well. No more dechlor or chloramine remover
needed...........and if you go with the rodi water itself, and add
back any minerals needed by way of a supplement, you can reduce algae
buildup as well since phospates and such are removed. I use RODI
water in everthing I have and do not have problems of any kind.

DO NOT BUY THIS UNIT!!! I bought it, and I am thoroughly ****ed off
at the company!!! When I signed up for it, somewhere in the "mice-
type" I guess there is an addendum that when you buy the unit you are
also signing up to receive a filter automatically sent to your home
every month. I did not know this, or I would not have bought it. The
filter, (which, by the way, you do not need if you take vitamins on a
regular basis....which I do), costs $26.00 a month, and when I called,
today, to tell them to take me off the automated system, the customer
service representative became EXTREMELY beligerent and told me, "fine,
then you will just be charged full price for the unit." I said I was
going to call and dispute the charge with my Credit card, which I
have. The unit is not worth it. It's very loud, and takes FOREVER to
get water. I should have went with the unit that is put out by
Quixtar, same price, but better, and a supposedly a more ethical
company!!! I am so disappointed with myself that I did not check out
this company better. I am thinking about contacting the state
regulation authority from wherever they are located!!!! Hope this
helps....
