Hoshi is missing a couple of scales. This isn't anything new, its just that
I've generally had other stuff to worry about so I haven't brought it up
before.
Question is, do lost scales (due to injury or whatever) grow back or will
that always be a "gap" in his armor?

they grow back. they are usually white. Ingrid

Well, except for the red/orange spot on his head, he's all white so I'd
hardly notice. (Very pretty fish, IMO. I like the more streamlined shapes
of comets/shubunkin's over most fancies but that's a matter of personal
taste, of course.)

I LOVE calico shubunks... but also had some veil tails were out of this world. wish
