Anyone have any thoughts on the Eheim 2231. Just wondering if it's as good
as advertised.

-Eheim classics are the best external cannister models on the market.
Its simple engeneering combined with quality parts make it efficient
without unnecessary gadgets. Very important: the intake is at the
bottom and the outlet to the tank is on top. This means by-passes are
impossible as the water is forced to travel through the media to get
out. Fluvals have the outlet and intake on top, and water by passes the
media via little holes betwee the three media cups (we tested it).
