All the bettas are now eating. :-)

No fish were lost to the outbreak of ich. I finally had to resort to
Quick-Cure. Even the last 2 neon's tolerated it well.

Hey great news RM!
I knew those boys wouldn't hold for too much longer.

As for the Ich...I swear by Quick Cure. It's the only Ich med I'll
use.
Of course using it in the first place is a last resort for me. If
water changes, a temp raise, and some salt doesn't do it, I go to
Quick Cure.
========================
Because of the neon's and the clown loaches I was leery about using it. I
wont be from now on. It'll be the first thing I grab. :-)
You should see how plump those clowns loaches are now. Nice round bellies
and they're out swimming around all the time. I'm having anther serious
outbreak of algae though and the otos and rubberlip aren't helping much.
I'm still using the Flourish I bought last year but it has no effect on
algae as I was told on the plant NG. Gotta take everything with a grain of
salt.....

The Clowns seem to be able to do fine with half doses of Quick Cure.

That's what I used the first few days. Then switched to 2/4s dose. They did
fine. :-)

The problem with them is that they have to be able to handle a harsh
enough med to kill the parasite, yet not kill them in the process. Not
always an easy task.
Good to hear they have fat, jolly bellies. Now all they need are Santa
hats and beards. = )~

Yeah! :-D Right now we're all listening to soft Christmas music. I made
about 100 CDs from Napster days. ;-)

I used to have a rubber Lip Pleco named Bubba. He was the cutest
thing. I thought he did a pretty decent job on the algae. That was
until I decided to get a Bristle nose. There's quite a difference
between the Bristle and the Rubber Lipped, and the Bristle wins fins
down for me.

I'll watch for them. I was recently to the local stores and all I saw were a
few rubberlips and the rest were the regular plecos. I may have to hit the
huge Aquarium store in Nashville. Their prices are a high but the quality
is excellent. They always have fish I don't see in the chains.

I don't know if it has to do with the type of alage that grows in my
75g (normal green... from being across from a large picture window,
but not direct sunlight), but this guy does a much better job.
The only problem is that sometimes when it's hanging around on the
glass the Angelfish find those "bristles" on it's head a little too
interesting.

He'll be hanging out, just minding his owns business when from out of
the blue, an Angelfish will come in slowly for a closer look at those
things that look a lot like yummy wormies. The bristle nose will then
move to one of the many places the angels can't fit, as if to tease
them.

LOL!!!!! :-D They have that juicy "worm" look the Angels can't resist.
