Just found my convicts cowering in a corner in 38 degrees!!
I've turned off the heater, taken off the lid, added a little cold water,
and will leave the temp to come down gradually.
Wil they be OK, and is there anything else I can do? ( I ahve a spare
heater)

I'd add an airstone in there. Higher temperatures usually have lower oxygen
levels.

The convicts survived, but the borneo sucker I has cleaning the rocks
didn't. It was a "Hydor" in line heater.
