View Full Version : filtering a jewel rio 180 for cichlids

A confession to start with, I'm male, I like my toys, which means my
tanks tend to be a bit overfiltered, eg. 600 litres of eheim
filteration and a small internal sponge filter in one 180 litre tank
which has been just setup for malawi mbuna cichlids.

I'm about to convert my second tank (a rio 180) into a cichlid tank,
probably for peacocks, will two of the standard rio 180 internal jewel
filters be sufficient, unfortunately there is no space for an external
filter. (I took out the internal filter from the tank I filtered with
the external eheims), which accounts for the two filters.

In theory I should have enought, just wondering what others think.

Cheers
