I have an adult male Auratus who seems to have developed a row of red,
wart-like spots
along the entire length of both sides of his dorsal fin. There is also
one near the base of
the tail fin, on one side only. They almost look like the result of
broken blood vessels.
A few months ago two lemon cichlids had a similar red spot at the base
of their tails, visibile
from both sides. These have faded, but can still be seen. Behaviour
seems normal.
Nitrite levels are zero (I do not have a nitrate kit), and pH is 8.2.
Any ideas? Should I worry?
