View Full Version : My Goby disappeared

The goby looked very healthy and was eating the day before as usual.

I looked for it last night and this morning. The way I have my 45 gal setup
there really isn't many places to hide.

The nitrates were at 20 ppm this morning. I was thinking if it's dead
somewhere it might be making my nitrates higher than usual.

I have that large hairy crab in there. Hopefully the crab ate it but the
goby was pretty big for a goby.

Can't speak from experience except to say that my goby has disappeared
for days at a time, only to reappear. I think if he finds a real dense
patch of substrate behind the rocks, he's perfectly happy to sit back
there and sift like a maniac until he's picked it clean.
