I am thinking abt keeping a pair of Salvinis in a rock & driftwood setup in
a 50 gallon/3-feet tank.
Any suggestion for other similar size tank mates? I am thinking abt Jewel
Cichlid

It's a risk to keep any similar sized cichlid with a breeding pair of
Salvini in a 50G, these fish attack larger cichlids even when not in
breeding mood, Salvini need more than 6 square feet area when breeding,
they have attitude, speed, maneuverability and sharp teeth.

No kidding, I cleaned the tank I had my salvini in. Unfortunately they had
laid eggs which I didn't notice. I started cleaning the tank, and the male
bit me so badly I needed 4 stitches to put the web of my thumb back
together. He bit me at least 6 times in the second or so it took to pull my
hand out. Not exaggerating, they are HIGHLY protective of their territory.
Beautiful fish though.

Ouch! I feel sorry for your thumb, those are some formidable creatures, I
haven't kept Salvini big enough to cause that amount of damage, but mine was
able to defend her territory from 10-11" Red Devil and Texas when she was
only 3" long, it's like a Porsche racing a 18 wheeler.
