Twice I built a reef tank and twice it failed. At $1-2k a shot it's
too expensive for me.
Is there a program that simulates a tank. You pick what goes into it.
It runs all the time, lots of eye candy, but also the hard science
that goes on. What you do effects the tank.
Thanks.

I agree your ****ing **** up somewhere dude. I bet you were taking
advice from Wayne or Kurt the two self imposed assholes in this group
that thinks they know it all and are gurus. That will show you right
there you need to join a real web based reef forum like reef central
or creative reefing and learn from folks that really know and not
those that blow smoke.
Never seen any such hardware so perhaps yo umay hire a software
engineer to create this for you and maybe become a millionaire in the
process. You know be the first kid on the block to run and opewrate a
virtual reef tank.then you could branch out to goldfish, minnows,
bass, hamster and gerbil keeping, etc etc. In no time just think you
could be the next order of top ten richest idiots in the world.

Naw. I read so many books on the subject and had good advice. I did it
to myself.

Not exactly what you asked for, but the screensaver at
http://oceandive.com/
might come close.

Thanks, but that's not what I was looking for (which I now know
doesn't exist). Besides that it looks _very_ good, but it's a trial
and then you have to pay. There are tons of 3D screen savers out there
totally free. I'll just stick with what came with WinXP. Too lazy for
all the bells and whistles :) Thanks again.
But who knows? Maybe I planted a seed in some programmers/reef guy....
One thing I do know is that if you can run a reef tank, you ain't
stupid.

yea, but there are some who are just plain stupid and
lucky......Wayne, Kurt, MItch, and a few others readily come to
mind......then again some tried their hands at being a store owner
only to fail miserably and blame it on their integrity ..what a
joke..........Once a ****tard like these idiots always a ****tard! I
am still trying to corelate what a dam screen saver has to do with a
program to monitor and keep a reef tank has to do with each other..See
what I mean about lots of idiots in this group. Real ****ing
intelligent types without a clue! Go to a real web based forum and
talk to those in the know plus its where the real names and folks hang
out instead of wanna be reef keepers.whose only reef tank is on their
monitor in the form of a screen saver.bwaaahahahahahahahahaaha Don
your really a loser like the others IMNSHO!
